COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Midnight Oil is an Oatmeal Coffee Stout. “Quiet and sensual like a moonlit night, this complex blend of toasted oats, roasted barley, chocolate wheat malt, and dark roast organic coffee, imparts an intense aroma and complex flavor profile. Midnight Oil will wake up your senses. We brew a traditional English oatmeal stout with a rich malt profile, then add locally roasted organic fair trade coffee while this ale is cold conditioned. Cold extraction imparts an intense coffee aroma and flavor without the bitter oils using heat processing techniques

COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams Boston Lager® is the best example of the fundamental characteristics of a great beer, offering a full, rich flavor that is both balanced and complex. It is brewed using a decoction mash, a time consuming, traditional four vessel brewing process discarded by many contemporary brewers. This process brings forth a rich sweetness from the malt that makes it well worth the effort. Samuel Adams Boston Lager® also uses only the finest of ingredients including two row barley, as well as German Noble aroma hops. The exclusive use of two row barley not only imparts a full, smooth body but also gives the beer a wide spectrum of malt flavor ranging from slightly sweet to caramel to slightly roasted. The Noble hops varieties, Hallertau Mittelfruh and Tettnang Tettnanger, add a wide range of floral, piney and citrus notes, which are present from the aroma, through the flavor, to the lingering smooth finish. We take great pride in the Noble hops used in our beers. They are hand selected by Jim Koch and our other brewers from the world’s oldest hops growing area. Among the world’s most expensive, they cost twenty times as much as other hops.

ABV: 4.8%

In honor of this yearly dance, we bring you Tumbler Autumn Brown Ale and invite you to enjoy the show. So pour a glass, and grab a window seat to watch as the leaves come tumbling down.

Pours a deep amber color, almost a translucent brown color. Light head and appears to have low carbonation. Good lacing occurs.

Very malty (some caramel and slight chocolate), and somewhat sweet. Contains some dark fruits. Otherwise not picking much up.

Very intense and complex malt. Somewhat sweet, which also contains some of those dark fruits found in the aroma. Has a dark chocolate, caramel, and vanilla complex to it, somewhat dries out in the end. Has a little bit of earthy hops in there too, complementing the malt nicely while still letting it shine through. Very slight nuttiness.

Low carbonation and fuller body makes for a nice combo here. Pretty drinkable for the alcohol on this baby, but makes for a nice sipper.

Haven’t had a lot of old ales as a preface. Enjoyed this one thoroughly though. Complex and full. Would like to see how this beer is with some age on it.
